Fruin reminds me of a small town pastor. He has this sweet smile most of the time, but if you get out of line, he has this quiet boiling over with a shame on you which is quite effective.

This Judge knows everything there is about defaults. He is sharp as a tack and works hard to understand your case. He spends a lot of time to help get clear jury instructions and special verdict forms. He is easy going, and very respective of jurors. He will let lawyers fully argue cases both in trial and law and motion. He is very balanced for both buisness and consumer litigants. He is a very classy man.

PS His staff are very good. I liked his court reporter, one of the few male reporters in the system.
