Every time I appear in Department 85 I tell myself to 170.6 her. However, she usually makes the correct ruling, even if she whines or makes you feel stupid.

However, after the last major hearing I had with her, never again will I appear before her. 1st, I simply cannot take her whiny voice and chatter. 2nd, I have figured out that her constant jabbering is simply her thinking out loud about the cases. 3rd, she can be very rude and will cut you off when you try to clarify a point. 4th, she complains too much about her heavy calendar.

Sure, she has one of the most complicated, high pressure and subject matter-wise, often mundane Judge assignments in the courthouse. I would never want her job, and probably no one else wants it either.

As far as I am concerned, Judge Janavs is not someone I would want to appear in front of unless I was in the AG's office, or with some huge law firm. She does favor those over regular "human" lawyers. Her voice is screeching, she is nasty tempered, cuts you off and does not listen. I also agree she talks out loud to herself. However, her job sucks! It must be the most worst job in the entire Court house, but also the most powerful. I think the massive volumes of paperwork filed with a typical business injunction or restraining order is alone a reason not to take this assignment. The other cases you get are the crazy in pro pers and inexperienced lawyers who want an injunction for everything under the sun.

She does get the job done, but is a bit unpredictable, she can change he rmind 3 times in 10 minutes. But since no one else wants the job, let her keep it. The last case she completely ****ed up. The case went to the court of appeals who sustained it, anothe screw up, but the trial court assigned to the case fixed it and my cleint ended up winning. Kind of strange, but my cleint was the victim of one of her change her mind 3 times in 10 minute episodes which cost tens of thousands of dollars and two years to correct. Cie la vie!

Yaffee also has issues, but I prefer Yaffee hands down.
