Law Monster

I recently had a wacky real estate bench trial wrapped around a trust, family law and criminal matter with Judge Bascue. I won, so of course I liked him. He is a hands on judge, asks questions, takes charge, etc. Personally, I like a controlling judge who is smart, listens, repeats back the argument so you know he is listening to you. Bascue does that and more.
I was amazed how quickly he read through piles of documents and knew what the case was all about. He made a fair ruling, not giving me every penny asked, but my client achieved his goal 100%. He was practical and firm.
Bascue has a unique stern-sarcastic way of making a joke. He looks like Paulie Walnuts (Tony Sirico) from the Sopranos but without the flaming gray har on the sides of his head. He generally hears ex parte matters in chambers. His clerk is also no-nonsense.
